Some thoughts on Claire's regeneration.

Content warning: Given the fact that I'll be talking about Claire suffering possible injuries and death, if you're sensitive to discussions of violence and bodily injury, you may want to skip this. You're absolutely welcome to personally ask me any questions via PM and just let me know you'd prefer I spare the details. 

Note: This is a mix of canon and headcanon. I want to be as realistic as possible but at the end of the day, this is still science-fiction. I’m not an expert on anatomy nor am I aiming for 100% accuracy, I’m just trying to make a little sense of a fictional character’s superpower to heal herself instantly. Now, onto the good stuff. It's going under a cut for length and content.

In conclusion: I don't want to be god-moddy and make her completely invulnerable. I’m willing to discuss ways to weaken her, I’m willing to discuss letting her be hurt, I’m willing to discuss what would happen to her if your character did x to her. I only ask that if your character is planning to do something drastic and it’s not immediately obvious in the context of the thread, that you please talk to me first. I really don't mind putting her through the ringer, but I like it to 1) make sense for her character and how I understand her power to work, and 2) be something we can agree on before it happens.

Some thoughts on Claire's character.

Note: As with all of my other character notes, this is a mix of canon, headcanon, and even bits and pieces of RP from 10 years of writing Claire. Particularly with her skills, I'm more than likely going to adjust what she knows and what she's good at (within reason) depending on what I feel is appropriate for the plot at any given time. Her personality, I hope to keep relatively consistent, but please be aware that various AUs that take her away from certain events in her canon that shape her (and how I write her) will cause slight changes simply because the foundation for her character is changed in that particular instance. I will absolutely strive not to write her inconsistently on purpose.

I apologize for this being so long-winded, and for getting off topic to venture into my own personal opinions about things regarding the canon. But, that does tend to shape how I write Claire, so it's kind of relevant. If you've read through all of this, holy shit, thank you. High five, for real.
